The Southern Tigers' 14-1 victory over Kelantan The Real Warriors (TRW) at the Sultan Ibrahim Stadium (SSI) last night saw them match the world record of 108 unbeaten league matches.

With this achievement, the local giants need only one more unbeaten match to surpass the record held by Ivorian club ASEC Mimosas (formerly Asec Abidjan), who reached the same tally between 1989 and 1994.For the record, JDT has not lost a Super League match since April 2021.

The 14-1 win also stands as the largest margin of victory in the history of the Super League, surpassing Selangor’s 11-2 defeat of Kelantan in August 2023.

The Southern Tigers will next face Buriram United in the second leg of the ASEAN Club Championship (ACC) Shopee Cup semi-finals in Thailand this Wednesday, before concluding the season with the Malaysia Cup final against Kuching City on May 23.
